I am very excited to be teaching at Galena High School for a second school year. This is my seventh year of teaching middle school and high school English Language Arts. I love to read, and to see others continue to or begin to grow a love of reading. I also enjoy hearing how creative the students are when they write short stories, essays, and free write journal entries.
I grew up in Marshfield, MO, and moved to the Branson area to attend College of the Ozarks. I graduated from CofO with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Middle School ELA and Social Studies. I completed my student teaching within the Branson school district, and taught middle school ELA at the Hollister school district for 5 years. Last year was my first year as a Galena Bear, and I am loving it.
My husband and I live in the Branson area and have two adorable babies, Henry, 3, and Elah, 2 months. When I am not at school, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, attending church functions, reading, and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals.
